Missed Penalty Proves Costly For Tanners

Hodgsons FC played their third game in seven days as they hosted at the Beverley Leisure Centre.

The visitors took an early lead but equalised for the Tanners drilling home from close range. The Tanners had the chance to take the lead in the match when they were awarded a penalty.

Mike Claxton stepped up to take the kick, however, he saw his effort saved by the Gilberdyke keeper. The visitors added a further two goals to as the match ended 3 – 1.

On Saturday, Hodgsons FC return to action as they host Driffield Evening Institute Reserves, the bottom side in the league.
