Beavers Receive Donation For Their Efforts In The Local Community

made a donation of £50 to the 1st Molescroft Beaver Colony after the youngsters cleared litter from a local park.

Mollie Stewart said;

“The 1st Molescroft Beaver Colony are very grateful for the unexpected donation given to us from the Parish Council, and it was a hard decision on what to spend the £50 on.”

“As all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers were involved in Scout Community Week, we have decided as a group to go on a trip out. We decided that the money would be perfect to pay for the Beavers places on this trip. The trip is still in the planning stage but is scheduled to go ahead soon.”

“We thank the Parish Council again for their extremely kind donation and hope for the Beavers to take part in activity like this soon.”

1st Molescroft Beaver Colony welcomes children of ages 6 to 8 years to join the fun of outdoor adventure and badge work.

Currently, the 1st Molescroft have 16 Beavers and is the foundation of scouting getting the children ready for the step to Cubs. This is most members they have had since they started.

The Beavers enjoy taking part in activity badges such as adventure, imagination, creative and safety. These badges include doing activities such as writing short stories, going on hikes, learning about home safety and creating models such as robots.

The Beavers also enjoy regular sleep overs which include activities such as adventure courses, hikes, campfires, bouncy castles and wide games. The Beavers have a big impact on the community as shown during Scout Community Week.

Not only did the Beavers take part in the litter pick in Molescroft, but they also planted flowers in the newly-opened community patch off Grange Way, Beverley.

The Beavers enjoy public activities and are proud to wear their uniform in the community. Currently, there is a waiting list for 1st Molescroft Beavers but the list can be joined.
