Disco Themed Open Mic Night

With the recent announcement that the Barn House in Walkington is set for closure at the end of March, organisers of Unsigned Live, Beverley’s music promoters are making sure their founding venue goes out in style, and have chosen disco as the theme of the night on Friday 22nd February.

Laura Douse from Unsigned Live says:

“There are many open mic nights around the area all providing a platform for local talent.”

“It brings people young and old out of their bedroom and gives a stage to perform in front of a live audience, for some, it’s their first time.”

“We have decided to give the next open mic night a theme and chose disco as this is quite broad. are invited to sing up to three songs and we’re asking for one of these to be from the disco genre.”

“Unsigned Live is unique in the area and it has grown quickly. I am a performer myself and know how hard it is to get bookings, especially when you’re busy with a day job but Unsigned Live promotes the group so you don’t feel like you’re on your own.”

“We have plans for a festival in Beverley on Sunday 25th August at the Club and will also be running a variety of smaller events throughout the year. We welcome new artists to join us on Facebook and come along to the Barn House on Friday, 22 February to get a taste of what we do.”

Unsigned Live supports and promotes local musicians through a variety of events around East Yorkshire. Gigs are booked on behalf of the artists to help gain exposure for their music.
