The National Surveyors Forum End 2012 With Meeting At Beverley Arms Hotel

The National Surveyors Forum met at the Beverley Arms Hotel for the final meeting of 2012.

The National Surveyors Forum is long established and consists of the senior Chartered Surveyors representing small, medium and large Building Societies.

One of whom is , a Chartered Surveyor who sat on the Board of Directors at the for 26 years. Philip now holds an advisory role at the Beverley Building Society, assisting in property related matters.

The Forum meet 4 times a year at different venues around the country to discuss Surveying matters affecting property and Societies’ policies for lending: also the members discuss current Government legislation as it affects property.

It does not discuss mortgage matters, which are for individual Societies to decide- this enables the meetings to be held in a non-competitive environment allowing a free exchange of information.

The Property Director of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors also attends to keep the members up to date on Surveying best practice, and to sound out members’ views on Government proposed legislation and initiatives and how they could be put into effect in practice.
