Anita Norman Cookery Demonstration @ The Barn House

Personal trainer and food coach, shows that there is no excuse when it comes to preparing delicious, healthy meals in a flash. Last night’s cookery demonstration at the in was a treat for the taste buds with a variety of breakfast dishes, snacks and main meals. Anita says:

“We are the fad diet generation with so many myths attached to certain food types – eggs for example – we were warned not to eat too many eggs because of the high cholestrol, but actually e ggs are one of the most nutrient-dense foods money can buy and they’re cheap.”

“Also fats from natural sources are really good for us and need to be included in the diet for overall well-being and healthy production of hormones which in turn, aids healthy weight loss.”

“There is an abundance of tasty, healthy foods available in the UK today and while most people know that eating processed foods and excess salt and sugar isn’t good for us, we often lack inspiration when it comes to preparing a healthy option.”

“My advice is to shop for ingredients rather than something to satisfy a craving such as processed foods, that way when you go to the cupboard you have to prepare a meal or snack. The guests at my cookery demonstration found out that taste is at the top of the list and making simple mouthwatering dishes is so easy.”
