Beverley Town Cricket Club were beaten by 62 runs away to Driffield Cricket Club in a fund raising Twenty Twenty match.
The Beverley line up was packed with batters so when they restricted Driffield to 207, they must have fancied their chances of knocking off the runs, but this was not to be their day.
Jamie Mitchell and Jonathan Fisher feel early on in consecutive balls; they were quickly followed by Iain Gillyon. There was to be no fairy tale return to Drifiield for Olly Grantham, who also failed miserably with the bat.
Skipper Peter Groves who started his day with a pint and couple of cheese burgers did shine as he scored a cracking 62 as Beverley ended their innings on 145 runs.
