Michael Oram got his professional career off to a winning start as beat Jodie Miekel from Scunthorpe.
Oran a fighter with St Paul’s Amateur Boxing Academy weighed in at 12.8 for his debut pro bout and hopes this is the first of many as a professional boxer.
Speaking after his win at the Bonus Arena in Hull, Oran said;
“I thought I boxed well considering it was my debut, I got a bit excited in the first round which led to me getting a standing 8 count even though I slipped as I went square on.”
“After that though my boxing showed and I’m ultimately happy with the result.”
“I am looking to be boxing again mid to end of July.”
