Under 10s Get A Taste Of The Big Time At The KC Stadium

Beverley Whitestar Girls were one of eight under 10 sides lucky enough to play at the KC Stadium.

Clubs from around the region were invited to take by the to take part in the matches that were played during the half time interval of the East Riding Senior Cup final.

The matches were overseen by young referees, Benn Knowles, Bobbi Cameron-McLane, James Subbaby and Jodie Hemsworth.

Beverley Whitestar Girls were joined by Sproatley Juniors, Driffield Juniors, Hall Road Rangers, Costello, Bridlington Rangers, Gilberdyke Phoenix and Under 10s.

Emma Furniss of the East Riding County FA said;

“This was done last year, it is part of our ongoing development of club football in the area, it is a great experience for the players and their families.”

“The Senior Cup is our flagship event and we want to enhance the community feel, it was nice to see a girls team and a female referees taking part.”

“The final was a great atmosphere and congratulations must go to Bridlington Town for winning the cup.”
