Woodhouse Make Light work Of Beverley At Norwood

Beverley Town CC 1st XI were well beaten by current York & District Senior Cricket League Premier Division champions Woodhouse Grange CC by 4 wickets at the Norwood Recreation Ground.

Losing the toss Beverley were put into bat and Woodhouse bowler Richard Mann made light work of the top order taking 4 wickets as Beverley were dismissed for just 97

Andrew Burton top scored for Beverley with an unbeaten 43, Burton who looked comfortable at the crease needed support from his team mates but they were unable to hang around in the middle.

Left hander and skipper Alan Acklam survived a good shout for LBW only to be caught out the next ball. Acklam attacked a ball only to spoon it into the air giving David Suddaby the simplest of catches.

Woodhouse reached the required target in just 22 overs, Beverley best bowler was Matthew Mudd who picked up 3/51.
