Too Many Names on Presidential Chain

For some years there had been insufficient room on the Presidential chain of office for the names of all the past Presidents of Beverley Westwood Probus Club.

A new ribbon and presidential medallion has recently been purchased. The new regalia was used for the first time at the club’s AGM, two weeks ago, when the outgoing President Ben Foundling, installed his successor, Les McLaughlin.

The old ribbon, which will soon carry the names of all past Presidents, and medallion were then “laid up” in a display cabinet, specially provided, in the dining room of the club’s regular meeting place, the Beverley Arms Hotel where it was much admired by members and their guests on the occasion of the ladies invitation lunch held today (02 May).
