The Barn House in Walkington is holding East Yorkshire’s first ‘PROM FAYRE’ on Sunday 13 May from 12:00pm til 4:00pm. Mums, daughters and friends are invited to try out everything a girl needs to prepare for prom night 2012.
Demonstrations from the Garden Retreat therapies at the Barn House include make up tips and beauty treatments, nutritional advice for skin, manicure & pedicure, tanning, waxing and personalised fragrances. Plus there will be a lucky dip to win treatments and guests can book a pre-prom party with ‘mocktails’ and nibbles.

“Prom night is a great time for celebration. I think it’s wonderful that we have taken on the tradition in the UK and I was surprised to find that no-one else runs a prom fayre in the area.”
“It’s a great opportunity to create a buzz on the run-up to prom night and we now hope to do this annually. Prom night is a huge affair now with girls and boys doing their utmost to look their best and the prom fayre will showcase lovely treatments to be able to do this.”
“Specially selected guests have been invited to display hand-made jewellery, hand printed t-shirts, corsages, prom dresses, men’s hair styling tips, and girl’s hair put ups, hair extensions and cars to arrive in style.”
