Lever Guides Tanners To Third Straight Win

The Tanners named an unchanged line up from last week’s great result as they face Bridlington Sports Club in the Humber Premier League.

From the off, the Tanners pressed and placed pressure on Bridlington but is was Bridlington who broke the deadlock against the run of play after a long range effort sneaked in the corner.

Just minutes the wonder kid, Luke Thompson scored again giving Hodgsons the lead for the first time in the match. It was competitive up to half time with Bridlington missing a golden chance just before the break.

The second half started with the same intensity, with every Hodgsons player working for each other and closing down intensely. The battling Justin Mason, hit a sweet left volley into the corner midway through the second half extending the Tanners lead. Andrew Stott forced another chance in to make it 4 -1.

Hodgsons FC next face Westella & Willerby Reserves, teams sit side by side in the Humber Premier League, victory for Hodgsons would all but ensure they retain their Humber Premier League Status.
