Beavers Seconds Share Spoils With Malton

Beverley 2nd XV used a gap in the fixtures to play a friendly with Malton & Norton at Beaver Park.

The sides battled in out in blustery conditions with the match ending in draw.  Among the tries was Chris Bradshaw, the forward powered through Malton backs who were unable to do anything to stop him.

Manager Rob Vaux who was unable to attend the game was pleased with the result, he said;

“Having secured a play off place in the Merit League it is important we play as much as we can.”

“It is likely we will meet Morton & Norton in the semi finals so today should give the lads a big boost.”

Should the seconds progress in the plays offs and make promotion they will have to decided if to go up to Yorkshire Premier League or remain in their current division.

Final Score: 31 Malton & Norton 31
