Shaw Impressed With Bandits Despite Their Loss

Former Beverley ARLC boss has denied he is thinking switching codes from league to rugby union.

Shaw was spotted at Beaver Park where he was his usual animated self offering words of encouragement to the Beverley Bandits who were beaten by BP 20 – 23 thanks to a last minute drop goal.

Shaw said;

“I have had offers from the Beverley Braves but at the moment I am just enjoying spending time with my family. I do wonder how I found time to run a team and am just enjoying the break for now.”

“Today has been really good, the Bandits played well and deserved more from the game, it was a good afternoons entertainment.”

“I have always been interested in all forms of rugby and are a great club but I have no plans of joining them but I cannot say it will never happen.”

Shaw who is a keen cricket fan and can be found most Saturdays during the summer at the Norwood Recreation Ground and confirmed he will be supporting Beverley Town Cricket Club again as they look to go one better this year and win a title.
