Beverley Athletic Club has announced that entries are now being taken for the Airkool Walkington 10k and those who were disappointed at not getting a place in the Beverley 10k are encouraged to enter.
The Airkool Walkington 10k will take place at 7.30 p.m. on Friday 6 July. The race starts at Walkington playing fields and follows a rural, undulating, circular route, returning via Little Weighton. Runners are expected to be able to complete the course in 80 minutes or less due to a police requirement to reopen closed roads. All finishers will receive a technical t-shirt by Start Fitness.
The 10k race will be preceded by a 1.75 mile family fun run which starts at 6.45 p.m. A medal supplied by KP will be awarded to all finishers in the fun run.
Entry for both races is online only at https://www.sportsentrysolutions.com/allraces.php. The closing date is 22 June or earlier if the entry limit is reached before then.
There will be no entries for either event on the day of the race.
