Swinemoor Primary School recently held a Science Day where the children were entertained and inspired by talks, interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities by the science educator Ian B Dunne from DoScience.co.uk.
The day was built around the theme of ‘Science and Sport’ and was linked to the upcoming Olympic Games in London. All children from the Foundation Stage to Year 6 took part in the event and will be entering a national competition using ideas generated from the day.
Organiser of the event, Science Coordinator Helen Burton, said
“We have always enjoyed and performed well in Science at Swinemoor Primary School.”
“The day was a great success and it was fantastic to see all of the children showing such enthusiasm for the subject once again. I look forward to seeing how we do in the competition!”
