Wills Promotion Raises £1180 for MacMillan Cancer Support

Caring local law firm Murray Hills Solicitors have raised £1,180.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support following their discounted Will writing initiative in Beverley.

In support of the charity and to encourage more people to update their Wills, Murray Hills Solicitors offered to write clients Will’s making a donation to Macmillan during the months of March, April and May.

97% of Macmillan funding comes from voluntary donations, over a third of which is from gifts in Will’s. Without these vital donations the development of cancer support services across the UK would not be possible.

Keith Murray, managing partner of Murray Hills Solicitors says “ We helped 50% more people to write their wishes than usual during this initiative, Many of our clients chose to donate more than the suggested amount to show their support for Macmillan’s vital work and the legal service we provided. The money raised will help to improve the lives of people affected by Cancer.”
