Beavers Full Of Confidence Ahead Of Clash With League Leaders

Following up on last Saturday’s excellent win against Birkenhead Park, take on league leaders and probable champions Darlington Mowden Park at Beaver Park on Saturday.

If they can reproduce the form that they have against the top teams in recent weeks on Saturday, there is no reason why they cannot upset the apple cart for Mowden Park.

Why the Beavers seem to struggle against teams around them in the league, but raise their game against top sides is a mystery, but coach Anthony Posa believes that they are enjoying their rugby again now that they are usually able to field a more settled side.

Had that been the case earlier in the season, Beverley RUFC would probably have been at the other end of the league table and not fighting now for survival.

Beverley RUFC hope to field a similar side on Saturday although doubts surround veteran Stanley Gene who is struggling with a knee injury.
