Beverley Folk Urged To Share Titanic Stories

The would like to put on a small display to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the this April.

However, they need your help in finding objects and stories to put on display.

, curator of the where the Community Museum is located, said:

“The idea for this display started when we were offered an object by a member of a family whose relative was believed to have been lost on the . At the moment, however, this and a small story about Lord Londesborough are all we have to put on display.”

“We would like to hear from anybody who knows of local who were lost or survived and can offer an object to loan or a story to tell.”

Anyone who has an item they can loan, or who can tell us local stories about the , should come to the Guildhall (next to the main post office) on any Friday between 10am and 4pm, or contact on (01482) 392783 or email fiona.jenkinson@eastriding.gov.uk
