Unlimited FREE Swimming For Adults & Children On Council Swimming Lessons

After a successful pilot at and Leisure World, , Swim East Riding, a major initiative to help residents with their and health, will be rolled out at other council leisure centres.

Registration forms are now available at South Holderness Leisure Centre and will be available at the leisure centres in , Haltemprice, and Withernsea, from Monday, 20 February, and Goole Leisure Centre, from Monday, 27 February.

East Riding Swim allows for an unlimited swim pass for all adults and children on the East Riding Learn to Swim Scheme which, when shown and swiped, allows them to swim free of charge, children under eight must be accompanied by an adult who would be charged.

The unlimited pass is valid for the duration of the person’s swimming course and can be presented at reception at any East Riding leisure centre for any swim session the person is eligible to attend.

Councillor Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for rural issues and cultural services, said: “Swim East Riding is an excellent initiative and will benefit residents who are learning to swim or have children learning to swim greatly.

“The council is determined that, during these uncertain economic times, residents should be able to continue to enjoy the full range of services available at culture and leisure facilities.

“Not only will this initiative save residents money, it will also have a positive impact on health and well-being, benefitting local communities.”
