Get In Training For Olympic Year At Beverley Minster

Minster is offering all-comers the chance to begin a healthy new year and get in condition for the Olympics by opening its towers on Bank Holiday Monday (2nd January).

As is now traditional on Bank Holidays the Minster is offering special tours inside the roof that include the unique clock mechanism in the north and south towers.

Also included on the tours is a demonstration of the largest working tread wheel crane in Britain and superb views over East Yorkshire.

Climbing nearly 90 feet to see these will do wonders for any New Year weight-loss and muscle-building regime!

Bank Holiday Monday is also the last chance to see the special fine-scale railway model of in the 1930s actually in operation before it is removed from the Minster.

Entrance is free – roof tours are £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 16s, starting at 9.30am and running through the day.

No bookings are required.
