Tribfest Goes Upwardly Mobile

, the nationally renowned festival, will be moving to a prestigious new venue for summer 2012.

The festival’s growing reputation for organising one of the country’s most innovative and affordable weekend music festivals means it now needs room to expand and believes it has now found the ideal venue to further enhance the event.

Festival organiser, , is very pleased to announce that the August 2012 Festival will be held at Sledmere in the magnificence parkland surrounding Sledmere House. Already well known for hosting some of the regions most significant outdoor events, including the Caravan Club National Rally this year, this new venue will once again enhance the Tribfest’s reputation as a really high quality event.

Attendance at Tribfest has grown substantially over the past five years to a record of over 4,000 participants this year; many of whom are now regular attenders. The 2011 festival staged over one hundred music, comedy and other entertainment acts and was prominently featured in The Sun newspaper where it was very favourably reviewed.

Sledmere will give Tribfest the opportunity to provide enlarged camping and entertainment areas within what is generally regarded as one of the finest landscaped parks in the region and will place the event and participants within the very heart of the glorious Yorkshire Wolds countryside.

Festival Director Ed Faulkner said

“Each year we have strived to make Tribfest better than ever and the move to Sledmere could provide a potential permanent home for the event through the facilities available here and the opportunity to further expand the event.”

“It has been important for us to keep the festival within East Yorkshire and we hope we have found the best possible location to develop the Tribfest experience for many years to come. We are very grateful for the support we have received from Polo Club and the people of Tickton over the last three years, but the location cannot cope with our future developments but we hope that our local fans will be willing to move with us.”

Sledmere is situated 7 miles north-west of Driffield and 10 miles from Beverley with good road connections to the motorway network, East Coast Resorts and major towns and cities of Hull , York , , Scarborough and Leeds .

A celebration of Tribfest 2011 is also being held at the Octagon Centre in Hull on November 26th.

The event will feature a twenty minute documentary on the festival which has been created by local film makers Panopticon Film productions. A film of the entire 2011 event has been recorded and they are hoping to reach an agreement with a TV production company to develop this footage into a documentary on the festival. Tickets are still available for the celebration event which also features a local band, comedian and disco.

  1. what about the people who bought tickets for tribfest thinking it was still at Tickton because thats what it said on the booking form when in reality there was really never any intention of it been at the polo club.
