Tanners boss Lee Hastings highlights injuries and a poor performance as the reason Hodgsons FC took a four nil beating away to Hornsea Town in the Humber Premier League.
Two goals in each half from Hornsea were enough to seal a comfortable victory over the Beverley side that have struggled to rediscover the same form in the league as they are producing in the cup competitions.
Tanners boss Lee Hastings said after the match;
“We simply were not good enough.”
“Lack of discipline and work rate plus the injuries to Paul Silvester and Dennis Edgar didn’t help.”
The Tanners will take a welcome break from the Humber Premier League next weekend as they return to cup action in the Senior Cup as they make the short trip to Bishop Burton to face Westella & Willerby CML.
