Tickton Bulldogs: Zacs In The Goals

The seasiders came with big expectations but the Bulldogs held firm with Captain Jacob kemp solid in goal & the defensive partnership of Thomas Knight & Ryan Flanagan comfortable at the back.

The midfield were creating some great chances and it was Jay Haliday who unleashed his deadly right foot to finish the half 1.0.

The second half started with Sam Hunter taking control of the midfield spraying some lovely balls around the park & finding goal machine Emrah Railton but the keeper kept him out with some courageous saves.

sparked into life only for Knight & Flanagan to fizzle out there attacks leaving Hunter to find his midfield partner Kester Holwell who thundered the ball into the roof of the net to take the first game 2.0

Holwell was everywhere in this second game tackling anything that moved, as The Tigers came out with more vigour all the team rallied together to keep them out.  Joe Pringle was holding up any loose balls sent up front to relieve the pressure.

Slowly the Bulldogs were gaining there early dominance when a free-kick was awarded outside the box, up stepped the Bulldogs spot kick specialist Zac Whitaker to hit a thunderbolt into the back of the net nearly taking the goalies fingers with it.

This closed the half 1.0 to the Bulldogs. Liam Headspith shone in the second half going close several times only to be thwarted by the Tigers keeper.

The Bulldogs were playing some lovely working well for each other, Railton whilst not having much luck in front of goal worked tirelessly for the team sending Whitaker away again on a jinking run, only to be fouled 20 yards out. As usual Zac Whitaker stepped up to hit a spellbinding shot passed the Tigers keeper to win the game 2.0

All the boys played their best game so for the Bulldogs showing some great structure and commitment for the squad.

WELL DONE LADS!!!!!

Man of the Match went to Kester Holwell for an explosive performance.
