A Sam Overton strike early in the second half was enough to give Hodgsons FC a well earned victory over local rivals Beverley Town.
Overton who left Town in the summer to play for Tanners headed the only goal of the game from close range after Town had failed to clear a corner.
Town had two good chances to level the match; Jonny Ricardo saw his glancing header shave the post while a late free kick was well struck but easily saved by the Tanners keeper.
