Quaker Quiet Garden Opens In Beverley

A new Quiet Garden is officially opening in 2011 close to the town centre in Beverley.  Volunteers from the Quaker Meeting have created the garden at the Friends Meeting House in Quaker Lane.  It is open to anyone to use for rest and reflection.

The garden will be officially opened on 1st October 2011 by Sue Nightingale of the Quiet Gardens Trust.  All are welcome .

The creation of the new garden coincides with improving access at the Friends Meeting House, which celebrates its 50th birthday this year.

Quakers have been meeting, worshipping and working in community together in Beverley for over three hundred years.
