Bridlington Rock Hodgsons By Stealing A Point At Longcroft

The Tanners took the lead early on in the match through Matthew Crane though Bridlington Town scored to ensuring the sides were level at half time.

In the second half Hodgsons brought on Rob Northern who took just 10 minutes to make his mark on the game as he scored to restore the Tanners lead.

Bridlington Sports Club, who were playing for the first time this season spoiled the party by once again levelling the match.

Hodgsons FC manager Lee Hastings was ‘disappointed’ and felt his side deserved more from the match.

Hastings added;

“We had plenty of chances but did not take them.”

“it is very frustrating to play well and still come away with just a point.”

The result leaves Hodgsons FC 12th place in the Humber Premier League, they do not have a game on Saturday though return to action on

Tuesday night when then will face table toppers North Cave who have had 100% start to the season.

Once again there was a fair sized turn out for the game including players and officials of Beverley Town FC who play Bridlington Sports Club at the weekend.

If Beverley Town win it will open up a five point gap in the league between themselves and Hodgsons FC.
