Beverley Town FC were beaten 2 – 1 at the Police Sports Ground by North Ferriby United Reserves.
Town started the game well though missed a couple of good chances to build a lead in the game against a side who although much youngerwere technically very good.
Beverley Town return to action in the Humber Premier League when they host welcome Hornsea Town to the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Hornsea got their season off to winning start beating Hessle Rangers.
