Police were called at 1932hrs on Monday 29 August 2011 to the report of a large group of youths causing disorder and criminal damage in the area between Nolloth Crescent, Beverley and the town centre. Ace Disco Party Sounds and Beverley Rugby Club are hoping to build up a monthly event that will offer youngsters aged between 13 and 15 an alternative Friday nights entertainment. Beverley Town Cricket Clubs’s 3rd XI drew with Hull Ionians Coal Exporters at the Norwood Recreation Ground. Winning the toss Beverley put Hull into bat and the visitors scored 193. Beverley 13 year old Greg Whyley was the stand out performer picking up two wickets. In reply Beverley scored 182, skipper Richard Moon scored 58 while Andrew Burton also made a half century as he scored 51.
