Roisin Gorry Wins St Nicholas Schools First Summer Art Competition

Roisin Gorry won St Nicholas Primary Schools art competition.

Following Summer Theme, pupils of the school entered a number of drawings and paintings that were displayed to the public during the schools summer fair last week.

Head teacher said;

“This is our first art competition for the school fair.”

“We had a really high standard of pictures this year and it was difficult to choose a winner.”

“All  of them were excellent though Roisin was a worthy winner.”

“I would like to thank to Jane Hancock and Tracey Shepherd for their hard work in organising the display and Miss Main for the judging.”

“We will definitely be doing this again in the future.”

Roisin, as part of her prize had her work professionally framed by local firm Ford Framing and received  an art pack courtesy of Wilkinson’s.

Other winners were;

Year 1 and 2 – Millie Prendergast- Williamson ( not in picture)
Years 3/4 – Thomas baker
Years 5/6 – Angel Marsden
