Little Green Fingers Help Beverley Bloom!

As part of their keen interest to involve local schools, community groups and local businesses, the organizers have donated a host of summer bedding plants to the children at Toll Gavel United   Pre-School Playgroup.

The organisers have provided a wide range of bright and colourful summer flowers for the young budding gardeners to pot up such as marigolds, lobelias and of course everyone’s one favourite:  ‘‘bizzy lizzies.

When their plants are ready they will be transferred by the Beverley in Bloom team to a specially- reserved stone trough outside to provide an extra floral splash of colour for all to enjoy and to add to the other beautiful flower displays around the town.

So not only do Toll Gavel Play Group’s children get to do some proper hands–on but they are also helping to make Beverley look even more beautiful in 2011!

Sheila Mason, Playgroup Manager, says “The children have really had a lot of extra fun with their planting this week, all thanks to this excellent Beverley in Bloom initiative. Indeed, some children have taken to this idea so enthusiastically that we think we may have a several future

‘’Charlie Dimmocks ‘or ‘Alan Titchmarshs’ on our hands!”
