Police Appeal Following Mandolin Theft in Beverley

in the East Riding of Yorkshire are appealing for information following the theft of three mandolins from a shop in Norwood, Beverley at 0330hrs on Sunday 05 June 2011.

The glass shop window was removed, before the instruments were taken from the display.

The stolen mandolins have a combined value of £600 and are described as:
• A PM1 mandolin with a light coloured front, a flower pattern round hole and a maple neck, back and side.
• An AM100 light coloured Maplewood mandolin with an army and navy style tear drop shape.
• An AM10TR translucent coloured mahogany mandolin.

Officers are appealing for information about the whereabouts of the mandolins and are asking people to be vigilant for anyone attempting to sell them at the Beverley Folk Festival.
