Beverley Town Cricket Club got a winning draw against Heworth in the York & District Senior Cricket League on Saturday at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Heworth won the toss and elected to bat first scoring 185 for 8 off their 50 overs. The pick of the bowlers for Beverley was Steve Blake who took three wickets for just 30 runs.
In reply Beverley ended 239 for 9 from their 50 overs, pick of the batters were Anthony Spence 50, Jonathan Fisher 35 and Peter Groves with 33.
Next up for Beverley’s 1st XI is a trip to Fenner CC on Sunday June 11th.
