Charity Night In Honour Of Brave Janie Dyson

Janie Dyson’s friends and family will honour her memory at a special charity night after she passed away following a brave battle against cancer.

Janie was just 40 when she lost her valiant fight against the disease last Sunday (29 May).

A night had already been organised at Beverley Club on Saturday 11 June in a bid to raise much-needed funds to help Janie’s family cover the costs of specialist treatment she was receiving in London.

But everyone who knew Janie is keen that the night should still go ahead to honour her memory and help her family – husband Colin and her two children aged 8 and 11 – cope with her loss.

, who is co-organising the event, hopes people will help make the night a special occasion and a fitting tribute to Janie.

She said: “Please help us support this incredibly loving family and honour the memory of a truly brave special young lady, Janie.

“The family have decided they still want to go ahead with the night out in her memory.”

Star attraction at the night in Janie’s memory will be Coronation Street bad-boy-turned-good-guy Gary Windass, played in the show by family friend Mikey North.

He will be bringing some Coronation Street memorabilia for the raffle, which will also feature prizes ranging from jewellery, to memorabilia to cinema tickets, and much more.

The charity evening also includes a DJ, tombola and various refreshments.
