This year, family and friends are raising money for The Samaritans with a family fun day at Beverley Rugby Club’s ground on Sunday, 29 May from noon.

The fun day will include a rugby union game, a game, football and tug o’war, with anyone able to play regardless of age and ability.

There will also be a bouncy slide for children, a tombola and raffle with prizes that include a signed Hull City football and a signed shirt.

The rugby club’s bar will be open for drinks and food, while there’ll also be an ice-cream van at the ground.

Matt’s sister Fiona said: “After the sucess of raising so much money last year for Matt’s birthday, my family and I have decided to do another fundraiser.

“This year we will be rasing money for The Samaritans who help thousands of people every year but receive little money.

“Entry is free, and all we ask is that you make a donation to the charity.”
