Talented musicians from Longcroft School and Performing Arts College were rewarded for their hard work at their Young Musicians awards night.
Sally Bolton on the oboe won the overall award, with singer/ guitarist Sarah Shiels picking up a worthy award for best singer.
Other awards went to Peter Bolton on the bassoon, to Madelaine Rann, Jess Lowery and Eva Lawrence.
Longcroft School’s head of music Jonathan Chapman was effusive in his praise for his pupils.
He said: “I hoped the younger ones could take some inspiration from the older ones and that we all could take some inspiration from all twelve of the fabulous young people taking part.”
