An arson attack at the rear of Schofield Avenue in Beverley is currently being investigated by police who would like to hear from witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about the person responsible for the fire.
The incident happened at approximately 2330hrs on Saturday 30 April and involved an amount of rubbish that was set alight.
The fire spread to fencing and an adjoining property was also ignited by the blaze. Fortunately none of the occupants were injured however the house was damaged by the fire and the consequences could have been far more serious.
