Kristian Davis First Runner Back For Beverley @ Brantingham Hill

54 hardy runners tackled the Race on , seven of them from .

This challenging 7.3 mile race is organised by East Hull Harriers and tests the stamina of runners on the hilly terrain between Elloughton and Mount Airy Farm.

completed the course in just over an hour (60:51) and was the first Beverley runner to finish.  He was followed by Andy Tate who had an excellent run, finishing over three minutes faster than last year in 63:15.

Nigel Braithwaite, still in his first year with the club, finished in a very respectable 67:12.

It was a close run race for Bill Grieve and Jayne Dale who ran together for much of the time.  Grieve edged in front towards the end and crossed the line three seconds ahead of Dale.

Although Jo Dewar was running at Brantingham for the first time she was accompanied round the course by Steve Hadley who has run the race before.  They finished together in 79:12.

The race was won by Roy Lilley of East Hull Harriers in 49:01.  The first lady was Beverley Jackson, also of East Hull Harriers, in 58:10.
