NG Road Racing with Beverley’s Jordan Rushby

Cadwell Park hosted the NG Road Racing event. For Jordan Rushby, aged 13, from Beverley, this was his first time competing in the event at Cadwell Park. Jordan rides an Aprilla 125.

He rode alongside other British youngsters on a variety of motorbikes, from 125’s up to 400cc. HU17 spent the day with Jordan and his family on Sunday 17th April 2011.

The circuit has hosted Motorsport for over 75 years, with the most famous part of the circuit being the mountain, where bikes frequently get airbourne. The rest of the track has a mix of twists and turns with cambers and gradients that test riders and bikes to the max.

Jordan competed well on Saturday 16th April, however on the Sunday following completing his qualifying round; Jordan suffered bike problems, at the start of the racing and sadly missed the opportunity to complete the race.

The event provided Jordan and his family time with other riders and their families, whom have formed firm friendships as a result of the motorbike racing scene. HU17 enjoyed the day as Cadwell Park circuit is one of the most technically demanding in the country and is loved by riders and spectators alike.
