Beverley Gift & Interiors Shop Shortlisted for Retail Award

Amanti, a Beverley based gift, home & interiors shop, has been acknowledged as one of the UK’s best gift retailers in the prestigious Greats Retail Awards. The premier awards for the gift industry, the Greats have become the ultimate accolade, recognizing the top independent and multiple gift retailers nationally and regionally. Amanti is one of only five shops to make the shortlist for ‘Independent Gift Retailer of the Year’ for the Midlands and the North and is the only retailer in the Yorkshire & Humber region to win the recognition in 2011.

Located in a historic building in picturesque Wednesday Market, close to Beverley Minster, Amanti opened its doors in April 2006. Having watched many other independent retailers lose their battle for survival through the recession, owners Antony Barton and Amalia Booker are delighted with their Greats achievement: “To receive this honor as we come up to our fifth birthday is absolutely fantastic! It’s a testament not only to all the hard work we’ve put into the business but also to our wonderfully loyal customers.”

To reach the finals, retailers must demonstrate excellence in all areas of the retail spectrum including range of gifts, product knowledge, customer service, shop environment and marketing and display. Amalia adds, “We have gifts that are ideal for all occasions and stock many well-known brands alongside products from small, exclusive designers and makers. We also offer lots of little extras like free home delivery locally and a complementary gift wrapping service.”
