Star Shaped City to Headline Charity Concert

A local student is using the practical element of her A-levels to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

is staging a charity concert at on Friday 4 March as part of her A-level Extended Project Qualification.

This tests her management and leadership skills. But while the concert will go a long-way to securing her the grades she wants, Katie says she is eager to make the event a fund-raising night for the MS Society.

She said: “The event is going to raise money for the MS Society, which means a lot to my family and a good friend of mine.

“I want to raise money to improve the situations of people with MS, and give them the quality of live they deserve.”

The concert, aimed at mid to late teenagers, will include performances from local bands and solo artists, showcasing Beverley’s young talent.

Headlining will be the band , who will also be selling their CDs during the night.

The band has had its troubles with members moving to different universities all over the country, so it is a rare chance to see them all together for the night.

The event will get underway at 7pm.
