Youth Cafe Success Inspires Others

The is relishing from the successful publicity given by its appearance on in January.

Youth Workers & Churches from as far as Wales & Ireland have contacted the Youth Café team with messages of praise & admiration for what is offering to young people in Beverley.

Lee Kirby said:

“I have also been approached about compiling a pack for prospective churches wishing to host similar events are their own .”

“The Youth Café is a pioneer project that now seems to be inspiring Churches to use their facilities and buildings for wider youth & community use.”

“Barney Oram our resident Youth Café DJ who is also a member of Beverley Minster’s Emmaus Youth Group, recently performed in York Minster at a large youth event with over 500 young people in attendance.”

“Barney is an extraordinary homegrown talent that has the ability to play the right at the right time, persuading youngsters to dance all night in the Minster.”

The Youth Café team have planned an additional Youth Café in May, when their Ugandan visitors who we have a partnership with the group, visit the Beverley Minster.

The Youth Worker at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Kabale, Uganda is keen to experience their way of doing youth work and providing provision for young people on a large scale.

Youth Café on Friday 11th March for 200-250 young people. The event which starts at 7.00pm and finishes at 9.30pm will feature local DJ Barney Oram from Beverley Grammar School.

Plus giant inflatables including sumo wrestling & gladiator jousting. Tickets £2 are available from all three secondary schools, Beverley Minster Parish Centre & Shop.
