Hodgsons Remain Top With Crushing Victory

Hodgsons bounced straight back from the their ‘derby day’ defeat with a comfortable win over East Riding Rangers.

The home side played the game at strolling pace as Rangers offered absolutely nothing throughout the whole match. At times the Hodgson players looked slightly bored and bemused at what was playing in front of them.

Nevertheless the set about the match in the right mood. Controlling the game and keeping possession of the ball looking for that goal scoring chance.

On 13 mins Hodgsons finally took the lead. The creative Danny Cartwright picking out with a beautiful pass. Foster finished smoothly with his left foot.

Hodgsons doubled their lead on 26 mins through captain . He drilled a right foot shot across the keeper that found the corner of the net.

Minutes later it was 3 nil courtesy of an O.G from a Hodgsons corner.

The second half produced a further 2 goals. Danny Cartwright tapping in from close range after Chris Robinsons shot was saved. Late on in the match the substitutes combined to grab a 5th and final goal, Danny Atkinson the supplier for Joe Dexter who finished superbly with his right foot.

The tanners have now won 7 out of 7 league matches and next week travel to Blackburn Leisure Club were they will face East Riding Rangers again.

Man of the match was Shaun ‘the sheep’ Gibson who had an excellent game at centre half.
