Mill Lane United came from behind to beat St Georges this Saturday and Broadgates in the East Yorkshire County League Division 1.
United took an early lead through John Riley though St Georges replied with two goals of their own.
Terry Jackson levelled things up for the home side with a simple close range finish to level the scores at 2 – 2. Shaun Foster then restored United’s lead before adding a second to end any hopes St Georges had of getting some thing from the game.
United’s manager, Jim Young said “We deserved that win, the team showed great character, they did not let their heads go down when we went behind, instead they pulled together to get the points.”
