Clinical Hypnotherapist, Sheila Granger who recently conducted a trial with NHS patients in Beverley to demonstrate that hypnotherapy is a viable treatment for obesity is now taking her weight-loss system to New York.
Granger’s breakthrough advancement in treating obesity with a weight loss programme which incorporates the ‘Virtual Gastric Band’, gained a 95% success rate in a group trial last year and has now gone on to help literally hundreds of people to lose weight.

Nice article but to say the “virtual gastric band” has not yet arrived in the US is untrue. Both the Gastric Mind Band and the Hypno-Band have been used in the States for over a year now with the Hypno-Band having dozens of Licensed Practitioners in many states. The success rate is excellent and the method has become very well known. Gastric Band Hypnotherapy is not new and was introduced to the UK over 2 years ago. Good luck to Sheila but she is far from being the first to do this.
The ‘success’ rate quoted is higher than a real band. I would like to know what the criteria was for ‘success’ and over what period.
Did the Doctor do the follow ups or was it evaluated independently?
