Over 30 children attended the annual Award and BBQ ceremony at the Cherry Burton tennis courts.
Vicky Wicks, chairperson for Cherry Burton Tennis Club, handed out medals and certificates to all the children who participated in the coaching modules this year.
Morrisons provided the drinks and crisps for the children who attended.
Tony Baker commented:
“The coaching this year has been very successful with 38 children participating from 5 local Primary Schools and 12 adults also tried to improve their skills. We even had to employ a second coach to cope with the demand”.
Coaching will continue until Sunday 29th August after which the courts will then be closed for resurfacing.
Weather permitting they should be available for use again from the first week of October.
