‘Marvell at Midnight’ by NOSOUP Productions

‘NO SOUP!’ Productions was started in 2008 by Rosie Bristow and Kerrin Tatman in and is now in it’s 3rd year of business.

After the success of ‘The Death of Isabella Bird’ in Beverley and ‘Wondering’ which went on tour around the country, NO SOUP has written another play, ‘Marvell at Midnight’.

The production takes the audience to 1930’s Hull and follows the stories of a range of interesting and odd characters who work on CityNight radio and live in Marvell House.

There are appearances from stars of Hull’s past such as Amy Johnson and Andrew Marvell. There is a running soundtrack of orginal including Russian folk, 1930’s jazz and modern classical. ‘NO SOUP!’ will be performing at Hull Truck on the 2nd of August, at Selby Town Hall on the 4th and at Parish Hall on the 16th, as well as many other tour dates across the country.

The company recieved a four star review for ‘Wondering’ from the widely estabished ThreeWeeks magazine at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year.
