Hodgsons FC Presentation Evening

finally got their hands on the league trophy as the club held their presentation evening at Hodgsons Pub, Beverley.

The Tanners are the first team Beverley to have their name put on the East Riding County Premier League Trophy, a cup that has been won by Hull City in the past.

Chairman Lee Hastings took the opportunity to pay tribute to the players including those who could not make it on the night.

Hastings said:

“The lads have done exceptionally well, we won the league, and we reached a cup final.”

“This season marks a new chapter in the long and successful of Hodgsons FC as we expand and fielding two teams.”

Other achievements and milestones were acknowledged on the night, Adam Foster recived the ‘Golden Boot’ for his 27 goals in just 23 games, Paul Silvester was awarded the ‘Players Players’ and Karl Wallis was given most consistent performer averaging a staggering 8.5 match rating over the season.

A special tribute was also paid to Matt Dexter, the goalkeeper who also manages the club’s finances is leaving as he prepares to leave the UK for Spain. Dexter was also acknowledged for scoring Hodgsons 100th goal.

Hastings also thanked Keith Jenkinson, Landlord Hogsons Pub. The publican who many years ago played for Hodgsons FC made a generous donation to the club to support continued their development.
