Old Men of Beverley Head to the Glastonbury Festival

It is a sight to behold.

Three Beverley men, all old enough to know ‘better’, are packing enough kit to sustain a six man expedition to the South Pole.

It looks like it won’t fit into fit into the van, but with a lot of huffing, pushing and shoving, they’re ready for the off.

, Steven Coates and Andy Foley are off on their own voyage of exploration as they hit the for the first time.

They’re not youngsters – but neither do they seem to be going through the kind of mid-life crisis men of a certain age suffer from. They’re just off for a bit of a laugh and to watch some great music.

They set off early this morning with the aim of setting up camp in time to watch England v Slovenia on the main stage this afternoon.

While Simon admits The Courteeners are his number one band to watch out for, they certainly won’t be short of entertainment when the Somerset festival gets under-way tomorrow.

With music coming from such diverse acts as the Gorillaz, Dizzee Rascal, Willie Nelson, Muse and the Pet Shop Boys, it promises to be a memorable weekend for the lads.
