Friends and family of Matthew Graham celebrated what would have been the young mans 18th birthday with a night of live entertainment at the Beverley Memorial Hall.
The event was organised by Matt’s five sisters; Nic, Ali, Fiona, Helen, Sophie, along with Matt’s best friends; Luke, Harry, Sam and Elliott.
Local bands, DJs and MCs volunteered their time to play for the event. Volunteer door staff also spared their time to help hold the event.
The evening was also held to raise money for the charity Papyrus UK that Matt’s family now support. Papyrus UK run Hopeline, a helpline for suicidal teenagers and young adults and also for families and friends that have lost someone to suicide.
On the evening raffle tickets were sold with prizes donated by local businesses including; Little Ones Nursery Store, Khans, Gilly’s Balloons, G F Smith & Son, Lazaat, Joan Dempsey, Guest & Phillips, Browns, Ace Dry Cleaners, Just Gentlemen, City Electrical Factors, De Laceys, Salon 55, Lunnys, and many more. The tickets are still on sale and will be drawn on 4th July and place yet to be arranged.
